The URISA/NENA Addressing Conference has been re-engineered for 2013 and we are pleased to introduce the Locating The Future Conference taking place November 3-6, 2013. Download the flyer!
URISA International, the Association for GIS Professionals, and the National Emergency Numbering Association (NENA) have once again partnered to present the preeminent conference about addressing in North America. Since 1996, addresses have been the leading theme of this annual conference, tackling important topics such as Census programs, address standards, legal issues with addresses and, most recently, NextGen9-1-1 and the importance of spatially accurate addresses.
As the conference has evolved over the last sixteen years, the emphasis on addresses has also advanced in order to keep up with changes in technology and the way addresses are created, collected and maintained. By transitioning to Locating the Future, conference attendees can still expect great educational presentations on the nuts and bolts of addressing, 911 and GIS integration, and hot topics surrounding addressing methods. Additionally, attendees at the 2013 Locating the Future Conference can see and hear about addressing for future applications in advancing technologies such as Location-Based services (LBS), automated routing, and crowd sourced data.
